Ghost Hunting & Ghost Hunts At Ripon Workhouse Museum, 20th February 2016

Simply Ghost Nights returned to one of their favourite locations, in the past The Ripon Workhouse ghostly residents have communicated amazingly with our ghost hunters, would the spirits be so obliging this time.

In the nurses area Jez and Stuart mentioned that the vigil was quiet to start with, the  group remained positive and continued calling out to the spirit world, until the spirits came out to play. Firstly the group heard tapping on the table until it became a loud bang on the table. Until the table started to rock between the participants on the table. At the same time the REM pod in the bathing area alarmed out as well as a K" meter in the door way of adjoining room. The table continued to move and vibrate for a further ten minutes and then the activity suddenly stopped.
Rosey and Lesley detailed a vigil in the Governors room where the group had a successful attempt at spirit communication via the Ouija board where the group made spirit contact with a female spirit called Lucy and her daughter Rebecca. Lucy had had an unfortunate and short life only living until she was 34 years of age and her daughter Rebecca had passed over at the age of 5 years.
The nurses area was another fruitful vigil for Rosey and Lesley as Stan the most famous or infamous spirit at Ripon Workhouse Museum came forward to communicate with a group of eager ghost hunters. Firstly Stan was moving the table aggressively in all manner of directions and then Rosey used the Franks Box Stan's favourite form of communication both Rosey and Lesley then went into detail how yet again Stan confirmed his name and then Stan performed his party trick of unfurling a barrage of abuse and profanities to all and sundry around the the table.
Stan called a female guest a bitch, and male guest was called bald, ugly, stupid were all used to describe guests and then Stan got nasty and unleashed a torrent of abusive swear words that we cannot print.
All groups spoke of a number of guests seeing figures in the Vagrants cell area and Stuart and Jez had described a vigil in the welcome room with tapping on request coming from the school room and on further investigation no reason of the tapping could be found and when the school room was empty of guests again the tapping commenced once more.
Once again the spirits of The Ripon Workhouse Museum had proven to another excellent display of spirit activity.
