There has been a hall on the grounds of Strelley Hall since the 1200's and this includes the Medieval cellars below the Tower room. Most of the original Strelley hall seems to have been burnt down in a serious fire as an archaeological dig 2007 found evidence to suggest this.
From a family tree in the Castle room the Strelley family owned the building until 1678 when Nicholas Strelley gambled it away and the hall fell into the ownership of Ralph Edge who was a lawyer.
It is said that the ghost of Nicholas Strelley still haunts the building, is he still longing to own the Hall.
On a recent team event in the Medieval room most of the team in the room all spoke of seeing a shadow at the same time, and tapping was also heard on the door as well.
In the Panelled room a team member while on a lone vigil clearly heard the sound of one of the equipment box lids been moved. And in the same room during a seance some of the group heard something akin to woman murmuring too.
