Simply Ghost Nights return to The Manor House in Ferryhill which is steeped in history and goes back to the 16th Century. It is rumoured that the Panel Room has two tunnels, one leading to Durham and the other to the local church. It is reputedly haunted and plenty regulars and ghost hunter alike have reported strange sightings, although some might have been drink-induced.

The Manor House was also a orphanage at one time.

“It was on Most Haunted when the last owners lived at the manor and that seems to have really sparked interest in the paranormal activity here.

Authorities hanged, this man for murder. He has haunted it from the time when the building was an orphanage. One child, aged five, was staying at the Manor House with his parents when he was suddenly grabbed by an unseen ghost in his bedroom. This phantom gripped him by the throat and threw him onto the bed. The boy escaped. He ran to his mother, who found the imprint of a large man’s hand on the boy’s neck.
