Belper

The Old Chapel

This fine stone-built chapel is in the heart of the Belper Conservation area, near the old village of mill-workers' houses known locally as The Clusters. The Chapel, a Grade II listed building, dates from 1817, and is close to the town centre of Belper, a market town on the doorstep of the Derbyshire Peak District National Park.

The Old Chapel has been beautifully restored and stands with burial grounds.

With its huge 40ft galleried and beamed lounge along with an array of bedrooms, bathrooms, cosy areas etc this location was actually suggested to us because of the activity being reported over the years.

Simply Ghost Nights have secured two whole nights to investigate this historic building to see just who it is that refuses to leave and why they are trying to attract attention.

Stay either Friday or Saturday or why not treat yourself to both nights and incorporate a peek around the Peak District during the day.
